Society Membership
Society Membership: Categories
When applying for membership of ACWW, which will be considered and
recomended by the board and approved at Council and Triennial
Conference, the Society must closely match the requirements set out
below:
CATEGORY I:
a) An association of women with a minimum of (500) members. b) A women's section, with a minimum of 500 members of rural or agricultural or horticultural organisation.
c) An organisation with a minimum of 500 women members, but no separate women's section.
Is encouraged to make an annual donation to the work of ACWW through Pennies for Friendship.
Shall have five (5) votes at Triennial Conferences and two (2) at Council meetings.
CATEGORY II:
a) An association of women with a minimum of 100 members.
b) A women's section with a minimum of 100 members of a rural or agricultural or horticultural organisation.
c) An organisation with a minimum of (100) women members, but no separate women's section.
Is encouraged to make an annual donation to the work of ACWW through Pennies for Friendship.
Shall have two (2) votes at Triennial Conference and one at Council meetings.
CATEGORY III:
An umbrella or national organisation consisting of independent member societies.
Is requested to make contributions to Pennies for Friendship.
Shall have one (1) vote at Triennial Conference and one (1) vote at Council meetings.
CATEGORY IVa:
A group interested in the work and activities of ACWW
Shall contribute to the work of ACWW with an annual donation to Pennies for Friendship, but have no vote.
May attend Triennial Conferences, Council and Area Conferences as space allows, and may speak with permission of the Chairman.
All Categories receive ACWW's quarterly magazine The Countrywoman.
