Which Registration Form should I complete?

If you are attending the Conference as the representative of an ACWW Member Society or an Individual Member attending in your own right, this is the correct Form to complete.

I'm normally a Voting Delegate?

At this stage, everyone must register as an Attendee. Voting Delegates and Delegation Leaders are identified by the Member Societies on a separate form (Circular 9, to be sent to Societies in November 2018). If you are not sure whether you will be a Voting Delegate don't worry, you still need to complete FORM A.

What is included in my registration?

  • Refreshments during Conference
  • Lunches during Conference
  • Gala Dinner.

You are responsible for your own accommodation, breakfast and dinner.

The optional Excursion Day Tour at the end of the Conference (10th April) is not included in the cost of registration.

Do you want to go on the Pre-Conference City Sights Tour?

4th April 2019 - ADDITIONAL FEE OF £30

This tour aims to orientate you with your host city, Melbourne.  The inhabitants of Melbourne love her elegant layout, her Victorian grandeur and architecture, her wide tree-lined streets, the hustle and bustle of this thriving metropolis.  It includes the coach travel and tour guide, and will give you a great introduction to the city.  If you would like to add this to your registration, please tick this box on the form when you complete it.

Do you want to go on the Post-Conference Excursion Day Tour?

10th April 2019 - ADDITIONAL FEE OF £100

The Excursion Day Tour at the end of the Conference is a great chance to spend some social time with fellow delegates, friends, and colleagues whilst seeing a little more of Australia.  The price of the tour is not included in the general Conference Registration Fee, and you will need to tick the box on the Registration Form to indicate you want to take part.

There are four options (labelled A, B, C, and D) and you will need to list them in order of preference - of course, we will do our best to ensure that you get your first choice of tour, but there is a small chance it may fall to your other preferences.  We will ensure that you are kept up to date with this as we process applications.  So, for example, you might select your tours as follows: B, C, A, D.

In this example, you most want to go on Tour B, then if not available you would prefer Tour C, then Tour A, and Tour D is the one you are least interested in.

Will you need mobility assistance or access to a wheelchair?

Please carefully consider whether you will need help getting around Melbourne or the Conference Venue.  If you will, or know that you need access to a wheelchair or other mobility option, there are a couple of options.  Please note that you will need to book this directly, and that ACWW cannot assist with this process.

Would you like advice on hotels and places to stay?

Melbourne is fortunate to be able to offer a wide variety of accommodation. There are many websites where you can book accommodation, however to make your choice a little easier CWA Victoria have put together some accommodation options that are within easy walking distance of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC). From the city centre (known as the Central Business District, or more commonly 'CBD'!), you can catch a tram to the corner of Spencer and Flinders Lane and then walk across the bridge over the Yarra River to the MCEC – it won’t cost you anything as all tram rides within the CBD are free. However, once you cross this point you have to pay. For ease of access to the MCEC, CWA Victoria strongly recommend you try to book accommodation as close to the MCEC as possible.
