PROJECTS


ACWW funds more than 900 projects around the world.

ACWW's Water for All Fund– This fund is used for water, sanitation and hygiene projects

ACWW's Women Feed the World Fund– This fund is used for projects that promote progressive farming techniques and upgrading of women’s skills in agriculture-based activities.

ACWW's Projects Fund– This fund is used for projects which do not fit into the funding criteria of the other projects
funds, such as education, literacy, and income generation.

Please note:

Meetings of the Projects Committee take place twice per year. There can be a long lead time for projects to be processed. Unfortunately only a small proportion of the applications received can be funded by ACWW due to limited funds

We work mainly with NGO's, funding projects, in developing countries.

We do not send out emergency relief funds.

We do not fund individuals, except for a very limited number of scholarships for our own members.

ACWW's Projects Initial Application:

In order to make an initial assessment before we send you our project application forms we would like to receive the following information from you:

  1. When was your organisation established and registered? Please note that ACWW requires that the applying organisations have been registered, as a minimum, for the past two years. Is your organisation registered for receiving foreign donations?
  2. How many members does it have and how many of those members are women?
  3. Does your organisation have a management structure and, if so, what is the percentage of women in it? 
    (Please note that ACWW is primarily a Women’s Organisation)
  4. Please give a short summary of the project you wish to implement with brief details of income expenditure
    and the total cost involved. (Please refer to our Project Funding Criteria below)
  5. What would be the beneficial impact of the project in the local community?

Please read this section carefully before completing the application form.

1.Project Funding Criteria.
In line with ACWW’s Strategic Plan, ACWW will support suitable and sustainable projects world-wide to improve the standard of living of women and their families.

The Project submitted should meet one or more of the criteria set out below. Please indicate in your application which criteria your project submission meets:

(a) Literacy

(b) Health Education

(c) Nutrition and Home Economics

(d) Agricultural Training and Development

(e) Income Generating Schemes

(f) Water and Sanitation

2. FUNDING GUIDELINES
Successful projects will be funded 80% by ACWW with all applicants required to make a 20% contribution in cash kind or volunteer input. The applicant’s 20% contribution must be clearly indicated in the budget (see item 38).

Successful applicants will receive 75% of the funding granted after the signing of a contract with ACWW. The remaining 25% will only be released by ACWW after ACWW Central Office is in receipt of satisfactory progress reports, interim audited accounts and monitoring, if the project has been selected for monitoring by ACWW.

Please complete the following form carefully. Ensure that your submitted project application contains all the relevant information necessary for the Projects Committee to make a well informed decision on the eligibility of the project you have submitted for funding.
